The style is characterized by utilitarian surfaces, stripped-back architecture and salvaged objects. Almost in every industrial design, you’ll find rough weathered wood surfaces, exposed bricks, bare concrete elements, iron pipes and so on. The best thing about it that during a power home remodelling process you can leave some surfaces unfinished and they could become interesting decor elements. Hope these vintage inspirations with an industrial touch can inspire you to do your own DIY home decor.
Let’s start with our favorite: Diana Floor Lamp
Meet Diana floor lamp, the tallest floor lamp of DelightFULL’s Heritage collection. Diana is an industrial floor lamp with a mid-century modern design, perfect for big industrial design lofts and artist studios. Built out of steel with a nickel plated finish, this floor light has a giant lampshade that features a glossy red lacquer on the outside and a matte white interior finishing.
However, the colorful aluminium lampshade can be customized with any RAL color. As you can see, it looks amazing in EVERY color (but the yellow tho… I mean, just look at it: BEAUTIFUL). This floor light is perfect for lighting while reading or working or even for ambient vintage industrial style lighting. Could it be more unique than this?
Second Favorite: Botti Suspension Lamp
Botti modern chandelier instantly takes us into a music concert starring Chris Botti. The mid-century lighting industrial design was inspired by the American trumpet player as a tribute to jazz music. With a structure handmade in brass and boasting a sophisticated gold-plated finish, this modern ceiling light showcases the high-quality craftsmanship for which DelightFULL is best known for.
You can find this amazing chandelier at Galerias Paris in Porto, did you know that? Travel there and take also some ideas to start your home makeover. Its unique shape and design make it the perfect hanging lamp to display in a mid-century modern living room, or a sophisticated hotel lobby, or, obviously, in your brand new vintage style home.
Not devaluing, but a third place: Herbie Floor Lamp
Inspired by the amazing personality of Herbie Hancock, Herbie floor lamp provides a brilliant warm vibe to every mid-century modern or industrial design room. With a structure handmade in brass, its matte black exterior is complemented by a matte white interior shade. This modern light will make a statement next to any mid-century accent chair, chaise or sofa to give your home improvement a contemporary style but also looks perfect in an industrial environment.
Why did we start counting it: Graphics Line
There you go! The letter ‘A’ and the ‘C’. The Letter A with a traditional Didot typeface is perfectly suited for deco styled industrial design. The lighting in gold, with a neon shine, brings warmth to your home. Think about all the projects you can fit with this initial letter… With a height of 1 meter, it will turn any vintage industrial style dream project come true. You can either put it on the ground or on the wall mounting.
Letter C is very sleek and it attributes a lot of vintage style to any interior. The lighting effect is slight due to the polished stainless steel on the letter. White LED applied in the original typography turns this letter unique.
Done counting! Last but not least: These Dianas
Diana pendant lamp is an industrial-inspired design that embodies all the simplicity and sophistication of the mid-century modern age. It’s very similar to the one we showed you earlier in this article, except it’s a suspension lamp. It has a small switch on the back of the shade, creating a convenient way of switching the light on and off. This industrial design lighting has also a red textile wire, which can be customized as you wish. It is a small suspended light perfect for any contemporary kitchen, but it does also look great as a bedside lamp in an industrial-inspired bedroom.
You get it, Diana is our favorite! This is a vintage style table lamp inspired by some of the greatest design classics of the mid-century era. This small lamp is easily the perfect reading light, having a movable and adjustable shade, that casts light to where it is needed. It best fits more minimalist or industrial environments. The perfect study table lamp.
